Pet SittingWe provide care for cats, dogs, small animals, fish, and some livestock, in the comfort of their own home. Typical sits are a half hour for a single pet, and include feeding, giving fresh water, litter box maintenance, and lots of personal love and attention. Included as part of the pet sitting visit, we also will turn on/off lights at various times/days, open and close curtains/blinds, bring in your mail and newspaper, water your house plants, put out your trash/ recycling, and do a general check of the premises. This gives your home a lived-in look while you are away. MedicationsMost medications can also be administered for an small extra charge. House SittingHouse sitting is like a typical pet sit, but can also be done as a stand-alone service. OvernightsSometimes people prefer that someone spend the night in the home, either for particular pet needs, or for home security reasons. Depending on scheduling, some overnight visits can be outside of our normal service area. Free First Time Consultation VisitsFirst-time consultation visits are Free! At that time, we meet the pet(s), learn the pets routine, likes and dislikes, where pertinent items such as food and supplies are located, go over general instructions, and do the all-important paperwork. This is also a good time to obtain the key, should you decide that you want to go ahead and schedule the sit, otherwise there is a Key Pickup fee. |

About Us h1> |
Yani / Owner
What got me into animal health, was the loss of two cats. I had three cats, and lost two of them to Inflammatory Bowel Disease, within one year of each other. I found it odd that I had two cats, not genetically related, die of the same disease, so I started looking at the common denominators. p> I thought my cats were eating healthy food, as I was buying it from supposed upper scale stores. I read everything I could get my hands on from renowned holistic vets around the world, and started to really learn about foods. Dogs and cats are biological beings, just like us, and they need real foods, just like us. Thus started my journey in the world of pet health--not to mention a healthier lifestyle for myself and family, as well. One day while shopping for raw food for my one surviving cat, I chatted with the owner of a very health-conscious pet supply store. She was impressed with how much I knew about the subject, so I took the opportunity to ask if they were hiring. And voila, I was hired! Things just fell into place, as I had recently quit my corporate job in hopes of finding work that was more personally inspiring. This was the perfect setting to get myself started in the pet health world. Working at the shop has provided me with numerous troubleshooting and learning opportunities, as people would constantly show up with new and challenging health issues. Teaching people how to provide a healthier food and lifestyle for their furry family members has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my life. I am not exaggerating!
Lucky Pet Petsitting is located in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle, WA, and I basically go to your home and provide the same loving care you would give your furry family members, in your absence. I take care of a variety of animals, including some small hobby farm animals, and try to assimilate the care you normally provide. The idea is that your furry family member will have the same routine and care, thus making your absence less stressful. Also, the advantage of staying in their own home, keeps them from the unnecessary stress of traveling to a kennel, and being in an unknown environment with other animals, some of which might be crying. That can be confusing and scary for some pets. In a nutshell, I am experienced, professional, caring and trustworthy, as well as licensed, insured and bonded. I hope that you will consider letting me care for your animals! Name and Logo InspirationInspiration for the company name and logo are based on Japans Maneki Neko, Lucky Cat. Yani has cared for my cat Elliott several times over the last few months, often on fairly short notice. She's reliable and conscientious, always leaving me notes with detailed information about her visits. Elliott loves her and is always relaxed and happy when I get back to town. I'm very comfortable trusting Yani with the welfare of my pet (and with a key to my home.)
